Saturday

Today i showed Hannah how i used to make butter when i was a little girl, and of course she wanted to try it herself! It's really easy, we used a 1/4 bottle of gold top milk, and then sloshed it around for about 15 minutes until butter started floating around in the milk.

Once the butter has formed you strain it and press the milk out and are left with a little pat of butter which should be delicious!!

Hannah was very pleased with her tiny butter cube :-)

This evening we went along Southsea sea front for a sunset walk.
We walked around the castle and saw the lighthouse flashing it's signal out to sea, and watched the bats flying around the castle walls.

It was a beautiful evening!

Oh how exciting! We buy that milk, so I think I'm going to give it a go - great for the arm muscles!

I didn't realise it was that simple to do ;)

Lovely sunsety photos.... I used to live near a lighthouse and loved to watch it at night. Such a shame so many are now defunct.
