Weald And Downland Autumn Countryside Show

This weekend was the annual Weald And Downland Autumn Countryside Show and Hannah and I went along with my sister and a friend.
The weather forecast was for heavy rain, and we did have some very heavy showers, but some lovely afternoon sunshine as well and Hannah was snug and dry in her new waterproofs and really enjoyed herself.

 We watched the threshing,

the birds of prey display,

met the gun dogs

and enjoyed a horse and cart ride. The cart was pulled by two horses from the Heavy Horse Trust, and one of them, 'Ellie-May' was the horse Hannah long reined at Parham a couple of weeks ago!

We watched the vintage tractors and the heavy horse teams ploughing.

Hannah met one of the teams afterwards!

The view across the museum is beautiful
Then we watched the heavy Horse Parade,

and after all that, Hannah and I had a walk up to the mill pond to feed the ducks and have a play in the sunshine.

We stayed for the whole day, and said goodnight to all the horses who had been turned out for the night on our way home!
